So, what is the role of a pure mind? Mind is where the thoughts reside, and we have discussed positive and negative thoughts. Negative emotions can lead to a vicious downward cycle. So, how does one change their thoughts from negative to positive so the mind can be pure? Or how does one make their mind pure so only the positive thoughts come to mind?

Of course, it is complicated, but maybe putting it in simple steps may make it a bit easier. Bhagavad Gita details the senses and desires and how they bring greed, jealousy, and other negative thoughts. Again, purity of mind brings peace and joy in life. So, follow the steps below to purify your mind:

  1. Be aware of your emotions when you feel greed, jealousy, anxiety, or any other negative emotions, and accept them. Pay attention to your desires.
  2. Use your intellect to analyze and figure out why. Honestly and without any excuses.
  3. Use the tools such as affirmations, mantras, or others to change from negative to positive thoughts. Meditation and breathing can also be beneficial in this transition.
